I am back...with my world upside down...reflection time...

its been a while and there r a lot of reasons...all excuses of course...yet i gonna try not to leave this space so unhabited for such a long time from now on...no promises, but i will try...

im not really sure where to start, yet the reason of being back is a little quote below. so let me start with that as this is the core of all the reflections through which im going these days drawing a map of my next two years...

The day shines :))

Sorry for being away for such a long time...lot's going on...hardly can manage things :( but its fine, my time management skills r getting better and better :)
And Life is beautiful and even more today :)) as i got an invitation to a concert of a simply breathtaking band - Riltons Vänner - Sveriges charmigaste vokalgrupp! Me can't wait the July (and don't laugh July is pretty close, for me for surre;))
When i heard them for the first time back last year, i simply got astonished. They r amazing young people and what a sound they create when they sing...u should hear them to understand what i mean and definitely in live;)

What is Flucidity?

And it's weird that one has to use art and poetry to get people's attention on the dangers we might face and might help avoiding. The instinct of self-preservation...is it really worth that...? Part I...

...today i have been thinking about why do ppl around sometimes feel hurt, even though there isnt any apparent reason to feel so... the same goes for feeling down ...how comes that ppl just get sad, depressed, get in their blues...without any obvious reason?

And the answer what i came across was - that they simply hide from other ...hide their feelings and r afraid to express them....they take happenings around them too serious and lose the ability to play light...they think too much before to act ...and act on impulse too seldom or never...


Its truly hard for me to be in a bad mood or worry about processes, elements that i truly cannt influence or change...its not worth that...life is too short to spoil our days and look on our lifes with anger or frustrtion...


When we open up to people that we trust, we let them enter our lives... yet the foundation
of relationships may differ for both involved...and it is as personal and different as we as individuals are unique. After all, its just a matter of how u choose to open to people and the expectations or assumptions that they create towards/about u and also on the person himself.

To be able to express what we really feel for someone is not easy...yet it should be so...

Have u ever thought about it this way... It's OK to simply state - i love u, if you feel like saying it...

I know the difference between saying it playfully and seriously. And if i don't... well, that's MY problem of course - not urs. I know people sometimes really mean well by not saying it...and i know some dont understand the difference between play and forever... Maybe someday u'll understand what i mean with that....

Love time or importance?

It doesnt happen every day that we get into those 3 amazing seconds (sure, sometimes they also happen to be the world thundering ones....yet this time about those amazing ones) which change ones world ...of course it is a bit exagurated...but still....there have been moments in my life which have turned around my world, some of my previously made perceptions about happenings, ppl around and myself...and u know what? looking back i cannt recall any of those moments which i would regret...

...and this time there were 3 sec and 3 words...and i seem to be confused...cannt really say that my world has change yet sth inside has for sure...

funny...this i kind of wasnt scheduled for today :P

Walnuts and Rice










...He took
one handful of walnuts and one handful of rice
you see my dad he had a funny way of handing out advice
first he poured the rice in this empty candy jar
but when he poured the walnuts in
they spilled down to the floor...

He said, "the walnuts are like the people you love your mom, your brother and me and the rice is all the things in life that we all think we need
how we fill this empty jar is how we live our lives...first things first, there's room for both walnuts and rice"

Well i looked at him all confused and he looked at me all content
as the smile grew across his face i asked him what he meant
then he emptied out that jar but before he put it back

this time he poured the nuts in first and the rice filled in the cracks

...this is the feeling, the inner state that i have learnt during the last years... and experienced the power behind it ...this is the way how we lead our organisation, the way how we impower our people and help them to discover their potential...we act according the values we believe in and we r passion driven because our hearts burn for AIESEC and its role in the world...
...i have had hard times understanding how ppl can do what they actually dislike or even hate...do the job where they dont put their hearts in and work for the companies which values disagree with the individual's values ...and do that a day after a day...and it all for the sake of high salary, postion & truly scary word - safety...
....today i had a pretty hot discussion with a friend of mine...who i believe i have lost now, in some way...because he had lost himself in this trap of high salary, good position (''comfortable chair") and safety thanks to keeping his thoughts to himself and acting, talking, working exactly the way how his managers want, even if it goes against his faith...sad, its truly so sad...

...and then i remembered once reading this Steve Jobs' speech which put it all so clear...

Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.

I'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if I hadn't been fired from Apple. It was awful tasting medicine, but I guess the patient needed it. Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle.

My third story is about death.

When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

Fantastic adds I.....

While working on my term paper i have found some truly astonishing examples in the advertising world...and this is one of them from the category of so called gorilla marketing...

"...In 2006, the World Water Forum was held in Mexico City to confront the issue of water use. Soon after, Duval Guillaume Antwerp thought up a campaign idea to get people's attention on something so simple and mundane; water. More than 500 Green Belgium stickers were stuck in washbasins, cinemas, pubs, restaurants, public toilets, universities and stations in nine Belgian cities and in Mexico City.

The picture of a little boy wih his mouth opening where the drain is, has an emotional impact at first glance. Look a little closer and you can read the sign on his forehead that reads, "IT TAKES YOU 1 SECOND TO GET DRINKING WATER. HE HAS TO WALK 20 KM." This marketing strategem is compelling and commands the eyes of the beholder.

I really admire this campaign for two reasons. First, it has a high shock value. There's no feasible way to look at this ad and not feel a thing. No matter who you are, this ad will interupt your thoughts and force you to take a second to feel sad, angry, guilty, something. My second reason for applauding these stickers is that there is no feasible way to ignore them. With noise being such a problematic aspect to the advertising field, if you can create an ad that no one can tune out you've won half the battle..."

THANK YOU for the year 2006!

This year 2006 i have gone through some deep emotional and meaningful professional experiences and each step, decision made was leaded by those inner constant questions that i believe many of us have burning inside...what is that meaning of my life?... what is my call? ... who i am really?...
...this has been only short piece of that lifelong journey in the seach for the answers to those questions...yet i may say that this year has drawn some essential guidlines and that mostly thanks to all of U - with whom i have shared my days, with whom i have met again in a longer or shorter run and with those of u who i have met for the first time - U all have shaped my world in 2006 and therefore i owe u a big and warm THANK YOU!

i always have believed that we are creators... creators of our lives as it is...i have created beautiful things, moments yet i have created some mess too...sorry for that if u have got involved in one of them,....

...sure i'm always trying to look on this mess as a learning assingment...yet not always i am succeding...so be patient and forgive me if that mess has been too big or too confusing for u...i'm learning step by step...and do hope that this year i have made some progress...at least i feel so...

Each time putting a new shapes into my picture i interrogate myself which shapes should fit the best...is that choice or that decision taken on a "making-meaning" motivation or on a "fear-to-lose..fear to not have" motivation?....! My experience tells me that the choice or the decision based on making-meaning or love is always the right one for me! Sometimes fear is stronger...and it is ok... i am always clear about what is true for me!...but i know also...that it is only by leting go all the fears the real meaning of life can be found...and its connects to my belief that once again got reproved this year and which has helped me so many times...having my inner child awake and using that simple but such a powerful excersise of positive day starts - waking up each morning as it would be my first morning on this world...

And out of that all my main wishes to all of us for the next year would be as follows ;)):

  • Give urself a gold star for everything u do each day
  • Sing into ur hairbrush every second day
  • Grow a milk moustache every friday
  • Smile back at the man in the moon every evening
  • Play a game where U make up the rules as u go along and do it every day ;)
  • Order with eyes that are bigger than ur stomach once in a month :)
  • Pretend ur bread rolls are dancing at every lunch
  • Have a staring contest with ur dog/cat as often as possible
  • Eat ice cream for breakfast each Sunday
  • Kiss a frog just in case whenever u feel need for that
  • Give someone a "hug-around-the-neck" when u feel so
  • Make a face the next time someone tells u - NO, time by time
  • Ask "WHY?" a looooooooooot :))
  • Believe in fairy tales for the life time
  • Do a cartwheel as often as possible
  • Refuse to back down in a "did...did-not" argument time by time
  • Make that "slurpy"sound when u get to the bottom of ur drink....when u are in a bad mood
  • Play a song u like really loud, over and over when u are down
  • Make cool screeching sounds when u turn a corner at times when u are stressed out
  • Count the colors in a rainbow when u want to get into romantic mood
  • Giggle a lot for no reason as often as possible
  • Put an orange slice in ur mouth, inside out, and "SMILE" at people once in a while
  • Remember to say ur prayers every single day
  • Write ur sweeties initials on the sidewalk in chalk ;)
  • Wave to the train engineer
  • Ask to be excused each time when u have been wrong
  • Finger paint and make a really BIG mess - depends if you have a flat mates :)
  • Get the giggles and laugh till it hurts - every day
  • Drink water and act intoxicated every saturtday
  • Hug a teddy bear when u want to make ur boy/girlfriend jealous
  • Stare at the moon tonight and make a wish
believe me it is truly never too late or inappropriate to be a kid ;)

And a bit from serious wishes...to u and me

Cherish moments with all ur loved ones and make 10 times more out of this upcoming year as you did the preceding year.
Each single day make a day for one of those who r dear to u or for those ones in need for that!!!
Do those small things that make difference and grow your belief in the power of one... and you will smile and feel greatful at the end of 2007.

Once again thank u all for the year 2006 and looking forwards to sharing with u the year 2007;)
